THE KAURI'S CREW.

The Kauri's departure for Port Chalmers has been delayed owing to the refusal of the crew of thirteen engaged at Wellington at current rates refusing to sign articles, they demanding £15 per man. This the company refuses, and is considering tho towing of tho steamer to Port Chalmers. Later. The Union Steam Ship Company s collier Kauri, which went ashoro at Westport about a month ago, and.was refloated and patched up, took in 2000 tons of coal and sailed today for Port Chalmers, for docking. A difficulty which occurred with the special crew brought from Wellington was overcome, and all the men signed on the articles at the previously agreed ecale.
