A MYSTERIOUS MURDER

At the inquest on Gortio MeAlister, tho girl who was found mysteriously .hot. her father gave evidence that sho had no lovers and no enemies. Mr Mcßoan stated that bo saw doceased alivo at 6.30. At 8.30 ho heard two gunshots. Ho rushed to the kitchen, and found tho girl lying on the floor dead. The doctor's opiniou was that tho -hots had boon fired from the back. It was impossible for tho wounds to havo been .elf-inflicted. Ho believed that tho girl had been murdered. Tho inquest was adjourned. (Received July 16th, 10.35 p.m.) A pi'_e of paper was found near the body on which wero written the words, "No ono in this houso is to blame. A girl deceived." The police anticipate an early arrest.
