(PRESS .-SSOCIATI0 4 - TE-EGB-M.) WELLINGTON. July 10. Replying to a deputation of- co-opera-tive workers on railway constraction, the Hon. W. Fraser stated that he had always seen the mistake of tbe so-called co-operative system as it existed at present- He agreed the men should be free to make up their own gangs. As a matter of fact, the small contract system he had introduced was the real 00-operative system- Tho price was" fixed for a certain job, and tho men could band together to take it up. At the same time the community would not stand employing men who- did not give a fair day's work for a fair day's pay. He was making careful enquiries into the whole question- .
