Tho Ellesmere Land Drainage Board met at Tai Tapu. all the members being present. The Controller and Auditor-General returned , the annual balance-sheet, duly", certified. The Board's solicitor's .wrote; regarding the outfall loan, slating that matters were being expedited as quickly as possible. The clerk presented a report on the culvert-at Taumutu, consideration of which was deferred, till next meeting. It" was reported that the outlet had closed ou June 17th, when the lake was 7in below -*„ero." Accounts for '£321 Its Bd' were passed for payment.
