THE TALISMAN MINE. (SPECIAL TO " r! TH_ PHESS.'O KARANGAHAKE, Jnly.9. Daring the month of June, the Talisman Consolidated crushed and treated 4450 tons of ore for a yield of bullion valued at £22,664 12s 6d. The costs for the past month totalled 45s sd, made up as follows:— Mine development 13s lid, mining 160 2d, milling 13s 4d, general 2s. The following cable message has been sent to London:—"Woodstock, No. 1 crosscut, progress 59 feet; driving south, progress 35 feet. Crosscut at 100 feet, reef 60 inches wide, values low. Driving north, progress 41 feet, crosscut 100 feet, reef 39 inches wide, values low. No. 14 level, south drive, progress 45 feet, reef 15 inches wide, values low. No. 12 winze, 3 feet,- reef wider than winze, values low. Driving north, progress "5-feet, reef wider than drive, values low. Driving south, progress 9 feet, reef wider than drive, values Tow."
