MAGISTERIAL. (Before Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. James Allen was fined 10s for his second offenco of drunkenness, with the alternative of forty-eight hours' imprisonment. The second man protested that ho was not drunk, but afterwards pleaded guilty. He was fined ss, in default 24 hours' imprisonment. John Brighton pleaded guilty to being helplessly drunk, and was fined os, in default twenty-four hours' imprisonment. I CIVIL BUSINESS. Judgment by default, with costs, was entered in the following civil-cases: — Montgomery and Co. v. W. T. C. Hooper, £6 10s 6d; Adams, Ltd. v. Charles N. Hodder, £7; Philip W. Soanes v. Lucas Bros., £10 10s; Henry Berry and Co. v. John Walls. £16 13s 7d; H. P. Bridge v. George Thompson £19 10s.
