River Plate shipments, for the month were:—Mutton, 185,500qr5; lamb, 91,500qr5; frozen beef, 69.750 qrs; chilled beef, 30Sj500qrs. (Received July 7th, 8.50 p.m.) LONDON, July 7. The wheat market is firm, owing to unfavourable Russian weather reports. Cargoes are held for late rates, and a slight advance un to 35s 6d is now asked. Copper—Spot, £62 7s 6d; forward, £62 15s.
