TO-DAY'S MATCHES.
The premiership fixtures in the various grades will be continued this afternoon, arid enthusiasts have the option of threo competitions. Chief interest will be in the Thacker Shield games at the Show Grounds, and the meeting of Linwood and St. Albans should result in an interesting display. St. Albans will have a strong team in the field to-day, and should give the opposition a good game. On the East ground, Addington play St. Albans, and this should result in another win for Addington. The Canterbury Centre havo received a telegram from tho secretary of the New Zealand Council, asking the names of six players whose form would warrant tfieir inclusion in the New Zealand team to "Way against the English team in Auckland next month.
