MEETING OF N.Z. COUNCIL.
(PRXSS ASSOCIATION TKLWUUM.) AUCKLAND, June 12. The Council of Management of the New Zealand Rugby League met last evening. Jdessrs D. McGregor (Canterbury), W. T. Wynyard (Auckland), and w! J. Perrett (Taranaki) were appointed New Zealand selectors ;for the season. Dr. Thacker, of Christchurch, wrote accepting; the position of-vice-president of the New Zealand League. The Wellington League asked for a Saturday match against the English touring team.—The Council resolvecfto give Wellington a match on Saturday, July 18th, the date originally allotted to Hawke's Bay. The rulps and by-laws of the recentlyformed New Zealand Referees' Association were adopted with minor alterations.
