NOT WANTED IN CANADA,
A DRASTIC PROPOSAL

Mr Stevens, a British Columbian member of the Houee of Commons, has given notico to move an amendment to the Immigration Act. providing for the exclusion from the Dominion of all natives or naturalised citizens or iramigranie coming from any Asiatic country south of the fiftieth parallel.
The ftmendmont exempts any country which has an agreement with Canada for the admissioji of its citizens, but means the total exclusion of Malays, Chinese, Hiudus, Persians, and Turks.
The Government of Japan has an agreement with Canada providing for the admission of a certain number of Japanese yearly.
