LEESTON.
Tho anniversary tea meeting and social gathering in connexion with the Leeston Presbyterian Church was held in the Town Hnll on Thursday evening, and the gathering, which was representative cf all denominations, was in every way a great success. An excellent tea was provided by the lady members of the church in the early part of the evening. At the after-meeting tho hall was crowded, and the Rev. R. H. Blair presided. A good musical programme was submitted, including the following items: —Songs by Misses Helen M. Chamberlain and L. Blackler, and Messrs J. B. Brown and H. F. Penlington; a vocal duet by Mr and Mrs F. Barnett; a pianoforte duet by Mrs Barnett and Miss Grigg; and an instrumental trio by Mrs Barnett 'cello), and Misses Grigs (piano) and violin). Tho accompanists were Mesdames Blair and Barnett and Miases Chamberlain and Grigg.
