Old Boys kicked off from the south end, and tho ball was returned to midfield. Old Boys started a passing rush, which ended in Crawshaw scoring. He failed to convert. Old Boys continued to havo the best of the game, and from a passing rush E. Taylor scored. Crawshaw converted. Old Boys 8, Linwood nil. Linwood took the ball down past a number of Old Boys' backs, but Crawshaw , returned play to haft-way. Another rush by Old Boys ended in E. Taylor scoring in tho corner. Crawshaw's kick failed. Old Boys 11, 'Linwood nil. On resuming after the spell, Linjrood attacked strongly, but a freekick for off-side play relieved Old Boys. Play returned to the "Whites' twenty-fivo, Linwood throwing the ball about. Guthrio intercepted a pass, and after a good run passed to Boag, who ran in behind the posts and scored. Orawshaw converted. Old Boys 16. Linwood nil. "Loose forward rushes with scrappy passing by Lin wood followed. Norrie got away, and Liuwood looked like scoring, but- ho slipped In trying to evade Bain. E. Taylor relieved, and from a fino passing rush, started by H. Taylor, Guthrie scored again. Crawshaw converted. Old Boya 21. Linwood nil. Good passing by Old Boys onded in.Guthrio touching down. Crawshaw converted. Oid Boys 36, Linwood nil. The Linwood forwards then carried the play into tho 'Whites' twenty-five, and almost succeeded in scoring on tho call of timo. Mr "W. Woods was referee.
