At the monthly meeting of tho Tawera County Council there were prosent: MessreSeymour (chairman), Evane Manson Milliken, O'Shaughnessy, and Rutled ? e, Correspondence was read from too North Canterbury Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, stating that the amount paTablo by tho Council tor the present year was £2*l 14s 6d. It was resolved to pay by quarterly instalments. From tho" New Zealand Counties' Association, forwarding a copy of tho rulcto. and stating that the annual subscription to the Association was now two guineas. Tho secretary, Public Works Department, stating that the Minister had approved of a grant of £200 being made to assist in maintaining that part of the SprinrfeldKumara road betwe-cn Cass and Boaloy Flat. The clerk reported that all the piles in the Kowai bridge were now driven. It was decided that a report on gorso on the various roads should be made by nest meetinc;.
