MOTHERS' UNION.
Much interest-has been felt by the, members of tho Canterbury branch e-f the Mothers' Union in tho visit of Mrs Sunderland, a speaker from England, who has been visiting the North Island, and who recently has held several meetings in this diocese which were largely attended. Mrs Sunder; land has been a -member of the Mothers Union for many years, and bore testimony to its far-spreading, though quiet and unostentatious, work among women of all ranks and countries, who are united by the simple bond of prayer, with and for eaoh other. Mrs Sunderland is a magnetic speaker, and those who heard her were ir-oh impressed. She is a warm supporter of the Bible-in.Sohools Leajrufl—ae is, indeed, the Mothers' Union aa a whole —and a good part of her addresses was devoted to this subject. During her <rtay here sho was the guest of tbe Dean and Mrs C&rri-gton.
