Captain Hennah arrived by yesteday morning's ferry steamer. Tho Hon. W. H. Herrics. Minister of Railways, reached Invcrcargili last night. / Mr James Jamieson has been re-ap-pointed by the Governor a.s a member . of tho Christchurch Domains Board. At the annual meeting of tho Hospital Board yesterday ."Sir F. Horrell was re-elected chairman for tho next two yea?!. Mr J. E. Wilson was elected Alayor of New Plymouth, Mr E. W. Simmons of Taumafunui and Mr W. J. Kirkwood of Stratford. Mr Charles Bean, who for tho past teven years has been hon. secretary and treasurer to tho Christchurch District Nursing Association, has resigned the position, and at tho last meeting of the committee Mr J. W. K. Lawrence was appointed secretary and treasurer. Mr Bean retains his seat on tho com.mittee. The Mayor (Mr H. Holland) has ro- '- reived a largo number of telegrams from all parts of Now Zealand con;grntulating him upon his re-election. Among them aro messages from tho Hon. W. H. Worries, tho Hon. F. At. 11.
