MOTOR-BOAT RACING.
NEW BRIGHTON CLUB. Tl_e motor-boat race run at New Brighton on Saturday afternoon resulted: — Sita, (Mr A. White) .. ..1 Active (Mr T. Curtis) .. ..2 Rawhiti (Mr H. N. Hawker) '.'. 3 Erd (Messrs Hill Bros.) ~ 4 It (Mr T. H. Rides) .. .. 5 ' There were, in addition to the cup presented by Mr G. N. Hawker, four other prizes.
The next race ia set down for Saturday, May 9th, at 2.45, for a special prize given by Mr A. E. M. Rowland, of Wellington, a late member of the Sew Brighton Club.
On May 23rd the final of the Club racea wfll be run for a trophy given by Mr L. Reynolds. There will be four other cash prizes. It is intended to finish the season with a "Produce Stakey." This novelty race will take place al a later date.
