WAIMATE.
Orchestral sympathisers provided a concert on Monday night in connexion with the Salvation Army harvest festival. The orchestra supplied several popular pieces, and solos were contributed by Miss-Manchester, Mr G. Howe. Lieut. Shilton, Mr R. Logan, and Mr Adams. Last night the corps tendered a farewell to Mr W. Duckett, a local soldier, who is entering the Army Training College. The Willowbridge School was broken into on Saturday. Judging by appearances on re-opening on Monday morn-
ing, the thief had !>een in search of eatables, having rifled the school pantry.
