Harvesting in this district is now over. Threshing machines are still busy, but are mostly engaged in threshing peas. The weather of late has been ideal. Though a few farmers have their onion crops out drying, tho majority welcomed the rain, as it will tend to restore tho grass, which has gone off in a very marked degree, with a corresponding acute diminution of the milk supply. Farmers are now ploughing in their stuh'olo fields.
