Reuters St. Peterburg agent reports that a hurricane in the Kuban province caused the Serazoff to rise nine feet, and inundate Stantia and Achyyrekaja. A thousand people perished, two hundred workmen being drowned while asleep. Three hundred and eighty buildings in Achyyrskaja were swept away.

There were also floods at Yasenkija, where 150 people have been drowned.
