The Hon. James Allen, Minister of Finance arrived by Saturday's boat from "Wellington, and proceeded by the first express to Ounediu. It is hie intention to spend a few days in ihe southern dty before returning to •■"Wtflington. After a few days spent i» the* capital city it is the Minister's intention to proceed io Auckland. The Hon. A. L. Herdman, Minister of Justice, returned to Wellington by Saturday night's ferry steamer. The Hon. 11. Hraton Rhodes. Post-waster-General, returned to Christcaurch from Kaikoura and W'aiau on Saturday night. The Minister was ac«*Jnpani«l by his private secretary, Mr TV. Crow.
