Mr W. Nosworthy, M.P., intends addressing his constituents in the Theatre Royal, Ashburkm. on March 25th. Sub sequently, ho will speak at Geraldine as well as in eeveral of the outlying centres of the Ashburton electorate. Mr J. T. At tho monthly mooting of the Ash; burton Technical Classes' Association it was reported that Mr S. G. Brister had been appointed art instructor. The •chairman (Mr H. Tho director reported that tho total number of pupils at the technical classes was 6C6, against a total of 465 for tho previous year. These figures did not include School classes or woodwork and cookery, the members attending which were 219 ant! 218 respectively, against 193 and 20S for last year; or a grand total of 1045. against * 835 for last year.
