METHVEN STOCK SALE.
There was an unusually large entry of sheep at the Methven Stock Sale, including a bid draft of fat lambs from the Snowdon estate. There was a. large attendance of farmers and dealers. The demand was keen, and good prices were realised. The principal sales were:—-83 6 -and 8-tooth halfbred ewes, 19s 6d; 32 lambs, mixed sexes, 15s 9d; 59 halfbred lambs, mixed sexes, 14s 3d; 202 two, four, six and eight-tooth halfbred ewes, 21s 10d; 117 sound and fine-mouth owes, 17s 3d; 445 sound-mouth three-quarter bred ewes. 18s 9d; 48 store lambs, 14s; 372 two-tooth threc-quartorbrod ewes, 20s 10d; a good line of fat ewrs, 17s od On behalf of Mr G.. Gerard, Snowdon, a line of 14CO three-quarter-bred ewe lambs realised from 16s 3d to 16s lid; 800 wether lambs, lGs; 800 fat lambs. 18s Bd. Cattle— steers were sold at £5, and fat heifers brought £7 per head.
