SHEFFIELD MARKET.

At Sheffield market yesterday there was a full yarding, 11,200 sheep and lambs coming to iiand, ot whi&i **jU were fats; lambs accounting lor 39/0 The balance of fats consisted chiefly of ewes only two small lots of wethers being penned. The bulk of. the lambs were of good to primp ireezers, a fair proportion of tegs being tnrough a number of lines, and several lots wero extra good and prime, iho yarding of stores Avas made up of 2770 half and crossbred ewes, 2300 rape and store lambs, 380 merino ewes, 590 crossbred wethers, and 700 merino wethers. The owes were chiefly of the mixed ages and aged class, ai.d some of the young sheep were on tho small side and backward. There was a large attendance, and competition was keen throughout the sale both for stores aud fats, fat lambs selling particu arly well. Prices -tv\i.-»: Fat crossbred wethers, 20s to 21s 4d; fat lambs, 17s 6d to 20s; tegs, to 22s 3d; light and unfinished, 15s 7d to 17s; fat crossbred ewes, 14s 9d to 18s 3d; fat merino tlwes, 7s 6d; rape lambs, 14s Id to 1/s; store lambs, lis 3d to 12s Id; ewe lambs (mostly small tussock sorts), 12s to 17s; two-tooth halfbred ewes 23s 9d; two-tooth crossbred e|wes 16s 3d to 23s 6d; four aud &ix-tootli. 22s 2d, four, six and eight-tooth, 29s Id to 21s Id; full to failing-mouth, 15s 4d to 17s 4d; failing to aged, lis lOd to 12s 6d ; aged, 8s 6d to 8s 9d; six and eighttooth merino ewes, lis; failing-mouth, 6s; aged, 3s 3d to 3s 6d; two-tooth crossbred wethers (small), 14s; better sorts to 17s sd; two and four-tooth, 16s 5d to 17s lOd; a line of 700 fullmouth merino wethers wore passed at ■ 7s.
