GERALDIXE LIVE STOCK SALE.

The largest number of sheep entered at the Geraldine yards for several months was offered at the fortnightly sale on Wednesday. The total number (about 10,000) consisted mostly of fat ewes and lambs. The attendance was large, and a most successful sale resulted. Buyers of fat stock operated freely, and gave prices an upward tendency. Fat lambs sold from 15s Od to 20s 3d, and ewes up to 20s. There was a good yarding of store sheep, and high prices were obtained for young breeding ewes. Two-tooths sold at 18s, 19s, 205,. and 21s; four and six-tooths at 19s lid and 20s 2d; six and eight-tooths at 15s 3d, 17s, 17s 9d, 18s Bd, and 19s; four, six, and eight-tooths IBs 3d; full-mouth ewes 10s 7<l, lis od, and 14s Id; halfbred s.m. do. 15s 8d to 16s 8d; merino ewes 7s and 10s Cd; culls os 6d; storo lambs brought from 9s Od to 15s lOd; rape lambs 12s lid to los IOd; two-tooth wethers 13s lOd. Thero was only a small entry of cattle. A fat heifer realised £5 10s, and a cow in profit £3 10s.
