BENEFIT MATCH. A meeting of the Board of Control of Lancaster Park was attended by Messrs C. R, Clark (in the chain, G. H. Mason, S. F. Wilson, F. Wilding, F. T. Evans, aud F. L. Murray (secretary 1 . A letter was received stating tuat Mr Sims's Australian team wouhl play a return match against Canterbury on Match 13th. and llth. tln> whole of the proceeds to go to the Lancaster Park ground. The secretary reported that the Traffic Manager of tho New Zealand Railways had kindly agreed to postpone all country trains on Saturday, March 14th. It was decided that the secretary should call a meeting of ladies for the purpose of providing luncheon for the players taking part in the benefit • match. It was agreed to extend an invitation to his Excellency the Governor . and the Countess of Liverpool to be present at the match. The secretary reported that Mr Norman Duncan had presented tbe. Board with two garden 6cats for the members' enclosure. It was decided to writeand thank Mr.Duncan for his generous donation. It was decided to give the members of Lancaster Park the right to take any friend into the members' enclosure for the benefit match by paying 2s od each day.
