LAND BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING. The Canterbury Land Board met yesterday. Present: —Messrs J. Sealey, J. Stevenson, P. McAuley. T. Gee. and" R. Leckie (secretary). In the absence of the Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr C. R. Pollen), Mr Sealey was voted to the chair. "With reference to the Ashburton runs not disposed of at tho auction sale last week, it was decided that tho Board should visit the runs and inspect them in relation to their upset rental and residence conditions. It was decided to forfeit the Mount Somers Coal Mining Company's coal lease at Mount Somers on account of nou-coinpliance with conditions. The following applications tor transfers were agreed to: — S.G.R. 9, section 35,158, Waikari and Waipara S.D.s, Cecil Wvnn-Williams to F. G. Westenra. 1827 acres; L.P. 1720, section 9, block 11., Kinloch. Settlement.
