TWELVE BEST ROSES.

♦ COMPETITION AT THE DOMAIN CARNIVAL. ANOTHER PLEBISCITE IN._TED. As we announced the other day, the Schedule Committee for the next Domain Rose Carnival intend offering a substantial prize for a stand of the 12 roses recently chosen by our readers as the best. They also desire to offer a similar prize for a stand of the 12 best show roses, and in accordance with a suggestion made by them we are inviting rose-growers to send in to us a list of what they consider the 12 best show roses. We shall publish the lists —or as many of* them as space will permit—for the two or three weeks, giving due notice when they will close. The lists will then bo handed to the- Schedule Committee—all expert rosarians—who will go through them and decide which is the best list received. The class for 12 show roses at the Show Carnival will be in accordance with the list thus chosen. At the special request of the Schedule Committee, no prize will be offered, their opinion being that no such incentive will be required by growers of show roses.
