OXFORD CROWN LANDS.
TO THE EDITOR OF "THE PRESS." Sir, —We are advised that Mr Massey has appointed a commissi on of three to report on certain runs in the Oxford district. It is to be hoped that the Minister of Lands will have the courage, which none of his. predecessors have had, to deal with these lands in a manner that will be a credit to the Reform Party and to tho country. This land is now held by a few farmers, who hold many broad acres of good freehold laijd, and there are hundreds in tho district who have either very 6mall holdings or no land at a!", and if the Government will insist on having these areas subdivided, and thrown open for selection, thoy will deserve the thanks of tho district, and will havo accomplished in Oxford district what Liberal Governments have failed to do in over twenty years.—Yours, etc., , , REFORM. Of ford, March 3rd.
