A CHEISTCHUKCH * REG ATTA. A meeting of the Christchurch Regatta CJub was held last night, Mr F. D. Kesteven presiding. Final arrangements were made "tor the regatta, which is to be held at Corsair Bay on Saturday. The secretary (Mr M*. S. Gentles) reported that ho had received forty-nine entrica for the regatta, including ones from the Port Chalmers, tho Petone, Wellington, Star (Wellington), Canterbury, Union, Avon, and Sumner Clubs. It was stated that the Akaroa Club would (have entered but for tho fact that it could not secure any oars ox sduils this season in place of those destroyed in tho reoent- fire. It waa reported that complete catering arrangements bed been made, that a band had been engaged, and that arrangements had been made for launches to convey people to Corsair Bay.
