(Beforo Mr .T. A. B. Bailey, S.M.) F. ____•. Barrett, for breach of a prohibition order, was fined 20s and costs 7s. Tho samo defendant, for motor-cycling through the town at a speed over ten miles au hour, was fined 10s and costfi 7s. H. Guthrie, for neglecting to comply with au order to clear noxious weeds on land at Belfast stated he had been making an effort, but the weeds had mado a too abundant growth with tho rains. Fined 20s. and costs 7s. W. and 'F. Parnham, on a similar charge, with a liko defence, wero also fined 20s, costs 7s. _. and T. Crozier, in a parallel case, wore not convicted, tho evidence not being conclusive. 11. O. Dixon, who did not appear, and who had been notified to clear Californian thistle nn grass land upon dates in November, January, and February by J. A. B. Hughes, inspector, was fined £5, costs 7s. Defendant later explained he was detained from attending to tho summons at the time stated, and the fine was reduced to £3 vitb costs. A caso F. M. \ Clark, of allowing a horse to be at large, was dis-' missed. GEP.ALDINTC. (Before Messrs J. Kennedy and T. H. Bannehr, J.P.'s.) A. J. B. Pierce, for failing to attend parades (five charges), was fined £2. and costs 355. Arnold Pierce was fined os, and costs 9s Gd. V. A. Ellery and C. Buckley were each fined 10s and costs 9s fid, and T. J. Eooney was convicted and ordered to pay costs, 7s. ASHBuirrox. (Before Mr G. W. Andrews, J.P.) James Todd, alias Scotty Thompson, charged with drunkenness and a breach of a prohibition order, was remanded till Friday.
