——:—» . A FORTUNATE NEPHEW. (By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received September Ist, 8.25 p.m.) MELBOURNE, September 1. Mr C. L. Forrest, an ex-member of Parliament, died a year ago, leaving an estate valued at £103,137, of which : over £80,000 was bequeathed to-create a* trust for charitable and philanthropic purposes. Mr Char'.es L. Forrest, a nephew, as only next of kin, souffht the court's ruling as to whether the trust was void on. the ground of uncertainty. The Chiof Justice, in delivering the court's judgment, declared that Mr Forrest died intestate, and the whole trust was void on the ground named. The "whole of the money therefore goes to the nephew on his clearly establishing that he is tho solo next of 'kin.
