LEESTON CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Lecston Bowling Club was heJd on Friday evening, Mr 11. Neave, rice-president, presiding; The annual balanee-ehect showed receipts amounting to £39 Via Id, including a balance of X 3 5e 4dfroni the previous year. The expenditure amounted to £3G 2s Id, leaving & credit balance of £3 10s 3d, the assets were £67 13h 3d, the liabilities £26 lie -Id, the bakr.ee of aeeete over liabilitiee being £U Ifl lid. The Chairman elated that Mr McCormack had offered to lease the land cet out in a plan submitted to him at £5 per annum, for a term of 21 years, -with tho right of renewal for a further period of 21 years. It was for the Club to dooido whether it would accept the offer. If it was accepted, it might be deemed advisable to form a tennis and croquet club to run in conjunction with the bowling club.
