A proposal came before tlio committee of tlie Canterbury Automobile Association to mako a grant towards the cost of entertaining tiio officers and crew of tho New Zealand while iv Christchurch. Mr Johnston complained that tho Association had been entirely ignored by the committee making the arrangements for the motor run, the result ]>,>]r,« that instead of 100 cars bein£ avail.ible for the motor ruUj 300 cars could hare been obtained.
