THE CITIZENS' BALI.
There is every indication that there will be a very largo and representativeattendance at, the Citizens' Ball to bo given to the officers of H.M.S. New Zealand. Tho Prime Minister (the Hon. AY. F. Massey) will probably be present; tho Hon. R. Heaton Rhodes, the Hon. W. H. Hcrries, and the Hon. Dr. Pomare and Mrs Pomaro have signified their intention of being present.
The preparations at Messrs Pyne and Co.'s wool store, Moorhouso avenue, where .tho function is to be held, aro proceeding apace. A large number of men"are employed installing tho electric light and in laying down tho special floor.
