Sir George Reid, speaking at the banquet to the Peaco Conference delegates given by the Pilgrims' Club, referred to the unclouded relations prevailing bctweentlio United States and Australia, and hoped a similar warmth of feeling would soon unito tho Anglo-Saxon family of nations. Mr Channcey Depew, in welcoming them, said that while nations were bleeding themselves in order to be ready for war, those present met amidst war's alarm for peaco alone.
