DOMINION COUNCIL

MR JUSTICE EDWARDS ACCEPTS A SEAT. (special to "thr press.") WELLINGTON, May 5. Mr Justice Edwards lias written to Colonel Cossgrovo as follows:—"lhave great pleasure in accepting nomination to a seat on the Dominion Boy Scouts Council. Tho movement is one which has my heartiest sympathy. No one who has tho good of this country at [heart can havo failed to observe that one of its greatest needs at the present time is some way of bringing it home to the young that discipline is necessary and wholesome, and that there are things in life superior to tho joys of looking on and barracking at a game of football. If our boys can bo taught to learn theso truths voluntarily, they will never forget them, and whatever their station in life, they will be a credit to their country. I believe that your organisation works to this end, and I wish it and you the utmost success in your endeavours."
