HINDU ADMITTED TO CITIZENSHIP.
The District Judge at Spokane allowed a high-casto Hindu, Mozunidau, a Yogi philosopher, to bo admitted to citizenship as a free- white person. He is tho first Hindu so admitted.
Tho Judge held that Congress intended to confer the privilege of citizenship only on. the Caucasian race, lind bighcasto Hindus undoubtedly belonged to the Caucasian race, and were thereforo admissible.
