A BOGUS OFFER
CRIMINAL'S CLEVER HOAX

SYDNEY. May 6.
It wa3 recently announced that an ex-patient of the Wagga Hospital had given £2000 to the institution, the only condition being that his name should not bo disclosed.
Enquiries by the police have proved that the alleged donor is a well-known criminal who was recently released from gaol and whose present whereabouts is unknown. The Chief Secretary's Department, through which the offer was made, has been badly hoaxed.
