KING NICHOLAS YIELDS

Renter states that King Nicholas presided over a Council of War, and decided to yield to the Powers' terms.
PARIS, May 4
King Nicholas, interviewed by a representative of the "Temps," said:— "We won't submit to Austrian violence. If attacked, we may be beaten, but our defeat will cost Austria dearer than Algeria did France, or the Caucasus Russia, or the Transvaal Britain."
