HOCKEY.
; U.R.C. CLUB. The annual meeting of the U.K.C. Hockey Club was head at the boathousn on Weflnoeday night, thivro being a large uttendanco of members. The annual report, whicli was adopted, showed that tho club had experienced a very successful year, having , won the Junior Grade competition and being runners■up in "the Senior Gratio. The fiimncial stato of the club showed it to be in a very flourishing: condition, having for the year a credit balance of £6 9s 7d. A hearty vote of thanks •was accorded to Mr F. D. Kostoven, who very kindly provided » splendid emoke concert fre* of all expense to tho club. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the secretary of the Hockey Association (Mr \V. V. Pitcaithly), who was ever ready with information to benefit clubs and further the interests of hockey. The following officers w-ere elected:—President, ilr F. D. Kesteven; vice-presidents, Meeere T. Chambers, J. Fry, and G. H. Hobbs; dub captain, Mx T. iiooth; hon. sec. and treasurer, Mr C. R. Davidson; committee, Messrs W. B. CyCallashan, L. Kincaid, E. Adams, G. Frame, and H. Hill; delegates to Canterbury Hockey Association, Mr F. D. Keeteven and Mi T. Booth. Several new members were enrolled. Practice is expected to commence within the next fortnight
