The Sydney newspapers havo initiated a system of syndicating certain 1 classes of news, including shipping, commercial, mining, and the" law ccurts, and it is anticipated that the system will be extended. The result will bo considerable reductions in tho staffs. Mr McGowen declined Lady Denman's request for two small tables in Sydney Government House as a keensake. The Government architect reported that they were unique, and of priceless value. Evidently the workmanship was of the period of Louis XV. or Louis XVI.
