PROTESTS AGAINST SUNDAY RUNNING. Tito Christcnureh Tramway Board hr.d bcforo it at the meeting yesterday a proposal that tho running of cars during church hours should bo discontinued.. The Rev. D. McNicoll, secretary of the Christchurch Ministers' Association, wroto complaining of tho noiso occasioned by tho passing of cars during church hours, and ask ng tho help of tho Board in abating the nuisance. The writer also enclosed letters of protest from representatives of different churches in Christchurch affected by Sunday trams. The matter was referred to the General Manager, to report to the Works and Traffic Committee.
