. ■ » Tho tugs-of-wnr competitions, organised by Hoy wards', Ltd., wore, continued in the Olympia. Kink last night. Tho attendance was much bigger than on the lirst night, &nd included a Jar greater number, of Jadica. The arrangements nad all been weil made, and throughout the ovoning there was Wo delay at all. With on-e exception the pulls wire very evon, oil running the ten minutes stipulated by tho conditions. As on the night before, tho wins were largely duo to goneralship, the teem which got the beet sta:t, and 'used its strength, and weight the more e'everly, being able to win. An exhibition upon tho parallel bars, given by the members of tho St. John's Class, Woolston, was very good, the boys showing much skill. Tramway v. Timber Workers. Th© tram men hud the advantage for eeven minutes, but in eight minutes both were equal, and at the call of time tho Timborraon won by Bin.
