UNION ROWING CLUB. Tie new mcmbeiß* double sculls ware got off during tho week. The distance was half a mile, which ovidently wae quite far enough for some cf the competitors. Tho rcoults were as follow:—A xiobba and W. Mayer beet H. Matthowa and P. Watson, after a keen struggle. L. Drury and B. Khouro beat B. T. Mahon »Jid J. Murch. A good lace; won by a length. W. J. Parnell and E. P. Meachen beat W. J. Allen and N. Smith. G. Fnwno and R. Barrett boat A. J. Sullivan and J. Dennis. Won easily. Diury and Khoure beat W. Parnell and Meachen by two lengths. R. E. Forrester and J. Smith defeated S. C. Forrester and W. Noweome. A good all the way. A. Hobbs and W. Mayer beat H. Gibson and H. Innis. This was a contest; won on s'Jie post. A. Hobbs and W. Mayer beat l<. XJrury and B. Khouro. Won in tho laet 100 yaids. G. Frame and.R. Barrett beat R. K. Forrester and J. Smith. The final heat was rowed last evening, when W. Muyer (bow), A. Hobbs (stroke), end J. Weir (cox) won. This crew rowed conaiatontly all through tho various j heats. ]

CHRISTCHURCH REGATTA.

The Christchurch Regatta Club met last night, Mr F. D. Kcstoven presiding. It was decided to hold tho Chrietcnurch Regatta at Coraair Bay, Lyitelton on Saturday, February 22nd. The chairman and secretary (Mr A. E. Jay) wero appointed a eub-commutee to make arrangement with the railway authorities, and to' interview tie Mayor of Lyttelton and othe:e, and go into various matters. The course for the Chri3tchurch Regatta, decided on by tho Regatta Club last night, is Irom Governor's Bay to Corsair Bay. The dub selected this course principally with the idea of applying for tho New Zealand Championship Regatta, to be rowed on it next year.
