In tho Arbitration Court, figures were presented by the Commonwealth Statistician, showing tho comparative cost of living in the Australian cities, Melbourne being taken as tho basis at 1000 units. Tho principal others were: —Kalgoorlie and Boulder City 1287, Sydney 1114, Adelaide, Perth _ and Fremantle 1107, Hobart 976, and Brisbane 937.
