E- Flowers, a compromise has been reached regarding tho censorship. Tho Government will accept tho censorship of London and Now York, reserving tho right to condemn a film oven though it has been passed by the censors of thoso cities. Tho present regulations apply to locally-produced films and those not submitted to tho London and New York censors. Pictures exhibited in Sydney will be permitted in the country. The regulations apply to pictures shown in tho country before being produced in tho city, Tho period of notice of programmo has been reduced to six hours j instead of twenty-four.

Tho Minister introduced a new regulation by which ho may authorise any film to bo passed by a censorship recognised by him. Such films need not bo screened for tho information of the police.
