In a night race of tho Alarshland Cycling Club, to New Brighton and back (ten miles), the first prize was a gold medal given by Mr F. N. Adams. After a splendid finish it was won by J. Rhoda, with l&Osec start; H. Dass (190 sec), second, and G. E. Hawkins (190 sec) third. Time 32min 59sec. C. Campbell put up the fastest time, his time being 31min 2scc. Air C. G. Dalgety has accepted the position of patron of the club, and Air J. Peikarski vice-president. Both have made donations. The Club has decided to accept the offe. of the Kaiapoi Club to put a i ace on their programme for the evening meeting on the track, on 6th. It was decided to hold a halfmile road race on Thursday next.
