VISITORS AT THE HOSPITAL.

TO 'UtE EDITOR OF "Tlt"3 PI'ESS."

Sir,-—I should like to draw the attention ot the authoritkvS to the very bad state of affairs at the lodge-gate of the public hospital on visiting days, and especially on Sundays. Yesterday T went to visit a sick relative, arriving at the gate about 2.45, and cooled my heels on the pavement till a quarter to four, as there was no possible chance oi ; getting in. If the authorities could hear tho adverse criticism, of thoso who, like-myself, were waiting at the' gate, they would do something to do away with tho present state of things. How is it that visitors going in and coming out have to do so through tho one door (unci a narrow one at that), causing a constant pushing and squeezing, more liko a football scrum than anything else, when th«ro is a gat'i alongside which might he used by tho-i?, visitors coming out, and thereby not causing a blockage in the small lobby? —Yours, etc., v ONE OF THE PUBLIC. July loth.
