PIANO AND SONG RECITAL.
The concert to be given to-morrow i night in tho Theatre Royal hy the pupils of Airs Arthur Mead and Mr Ernest Empson, promises to be of an unusually interesting character. It will be quite the largest of its kind ever \ held in Christchurch. Tho programme • will compriso such numbers as "Ed. ! Schiitt Concerto," the orchestral ac- j companiment being played by Mr Empson. The charming aria, "Caro } Nome," from "Rigoletto," and_ the . dramatic 'Heqnava," from "Lucia _di Lammermoor." Mrs Mead w-ill s£ng Tschaikowski's "To the Forest," and the delightful "Serenade." by Strauss, "StandcUew," by Schubert-Liszt, played by Mr Enipson, has not been played hero for many years. The beautiful "Slumber Romance," from "Philemon et Banco," has never been j sung in Christchurch before.
