Sir Georgo Reid, and the Age.ntc-Gene.rnl woro present'at the presentation to Sir Henniker Ifenton. Lord Curzon said that' Sir Henniker Hcaton's work was ouo in thp interests of international peace, Imperial unity, and commercial progress. Sir Henniker Heaton, in returning thanks, referred to tho help ho had received from Mr Joseph Chamberlain, and r-aid that if tho Government would epcml what they had spent in mail subsidies seventy years ago, they could have, penny-a-word cables to tho most distant possessions.
